Office for Student Support

The Office for Student Support is a central location for coordinating efforts with campus partners to assist students in overcoming hardships and obstacles to personal well-being and success. Student Support staff assist students with connections to campus partners, community resources, and support systems, encouraging and supporting success through individualized planning.

The Office for Student Support serves Reed students and the wider campus community through:

  • referrals to campus and community resources
  • providing individualized student support
  • receiving and responding to concerns for students
  • assisting students with institutional wayfinding
  • education to the Reed community about identifying and responding to student concerns
  • managing the Reed Care Team

Student Support staff offer an effective understanding of campus policies, procedures, and campus life, and work closely with students, staff, faculty and families to address challenges, eliminate obstacles, promote well-being and thriving, and connect students to helpful resources.

Our staff also provide one-on-one support, including interventions, advocacy, and non-clinical case management services for Reed students who are experiencing significant difficulties related to mental health, physical health, family emergencies, and other difficulties. We work with students individually to create a comprehensive plan for addressing hardships and connect to appropriate support resources.

The Office for Student Support coordinates Reed’s student support network including the Reed Care Team, Behavioral Intervention Team, and Student Life On-Call Team.
