Subject: Strategic Planning Update

Dear faculty and staff,
This year, in partnership with the Ad Hoc Strategic Planning Committee, we developed a broad outline of the college’s ambitions for the years ahead. These plans were shared with Reed’s Board of Trustees in early June. Now, with the trustees’ endorsement in hand, we have begun the work of creating detailed proposals for the plan’s major initiatives, in alignment with Reed’s governing processes and bodies. The next set of proposals will include priorities for additional fundraising to support the college’s aspirations.
We are eager to work together with all of you to offer a distinctive and engaging academic program, to support students’ success at and beyond the college, and to embrace and strengthen the diversity of our students, staff, and faculty.
