Subject: Care and Concern for Those Impacted by L.A. Fires

Dear Reed Community,
I have been watching the news coverage of the devastating Los Angeles fires with an aching heart. Many of us in the Reed community are from this area, Cheryl and I included. I know those in the area are following evacuation orders to stay safe while worrying about losing homes to these fast-moving fires through densely populated areas.
If you have been impacted by these fires, Reed is here to support you as you navigate fear and loss. Vice President for Student Life Karnell McConnell-Black and his team are reaching out directly to the about 300 Reed students who live in Southern California to share resources and support as needed, including returning to Reed earlier than anticipated.
