Text and images in Moodle
Use the text and media area or page resources to add text to your Moodle page. You can also add images to a text and media area.
Text and media resource
Use the Text and media area resource to add stand-alone text or media to your course page. Text and media areas can be as simple as a horizontal line to break up a section, or you can use them to embed images or other media students will see as soon as they open your course page.
Note that the title you create for Text and media area will appear in the course index for your page, but not on the Moodle page itself. If you choose not to add a title, the first few words of text will appear in the course index. If you add an image but no text, we suggest that you add a title that describes the image or its function on your page. Otherwise, the course index will display only Text and media area for the image.
Page resource
If you have a lot of text or links to organize, you can create a separate page to store the information. For example, faculty may create a page for each day of class to share information and resources relevant to that course meeting. Using pages limits the amount of text that appears when students access your course page and helps to limit the need to scroll through information.
