Ben-Gurion University

Beer Sheva, Israel

Students interested in studying abroad in Israel may choose to enroll for a year or semester at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev through the Ginsberg-Ingerman Overseas Student Program (OSP). Exchange students at Ben-Gurion embark on an intensive study of the Hebrew language, in addition to courses of their choice from a number of English-taught classes, most of which focus directly on Israel or Middle-Eastern politics and/or humanities.

In order to build connections with communities outside of the academic, volunteer service is encouraged, and opportunities to engage are arranged by the university. On campus, students have full access to numerous amenities including sports facilities, libraries, and a movie theatre.

Cost to attend:

Reed College charges the same tuition fees for a semester or year off-campus as for a semester or year spent on campus, plus the program's actual room and board fees. Reed College encourages students to choose programs based on their academic rather than financial needs to reflect Reed's belief that all students, regardless of financial circumstances, should have the opportunity to study abroad.

Financial aid continues for eligible students during the off-campus program. Students should discuss with the Financial Aid Office how other outside aid may impact their existing aid package. Check out more details directly on the Reed College Financial Aid page.
