Université de Rennes 2
Rennes, France
As one of the major public universities in France almost exclusively devoted to arts, humanities, and social sciences, Rennes 2 strives to provide excellence through education and innovation within a dynamic learning environment.
Reed exchange students can choose courses in 2 different departments, with a maximum of 36 ECTS per semester. They are also paired up with local Rennes 2 students as part of a Buddy System, which allows them to get tips and useful information from students who already have first-hand knowledge of the university, campus services, and city.
The Welcome Week is designed to familiarize students with their new university environment and teach them the basics, such as registering for classes, getting a student card, or opening a French bank account. The Student Health Centre (Service santé des étudiant·e·s- SSE) accompanies students through their education, providing preventative and medical services and offering assistance to students with disabilities.
The city of Rennes has been designated a city of Art and History and offers several major cultural sites (opera, theaters, symphony orchestras, the Parliament, museums, libraries, etc.).
Students must be nominated by Reed College International Programs director; Alberto del Río Malo in order to study at the Université de Lille III. Please contact the IPO Director for more information.

Cost to attend:
Reed College charges the same tuition fees for a semester or year off-campus as for a semester or year spent on campus, plus the program's actual room and board fees. Reed College encourages students to choose programs based on their academic rather than financial needs to reflect Reed's belief that all students, regardless of financial circumstances, should have the opportunity to study abroad.
Financial aid continues for eligible students during the off-campus program. Students should discuss with the Financial Aid Office how other outside aid may impact their existing aid package. Check out more details directly on the Reed College Financial Aid page.
Visa Deadlines and Requirements:
A visa is required to study abroad in France, and must be obtained in the students home country before going to France. The France Visa Wizard is a helpful tool in finding out more about the visa process for each specific student.
