Lactation breaks and break room
Faculty and staff who need to take lactation breaks while at work are able to do so at whatever frequency they need, up until their child is 18 months old.
Reed maintains a dedicated room for lactating people located in Greywood (Room 11). The room is equiped with a comfortable chair and a refrigerator. Many lactating people choose to take lactation breaks in their own offices, and that is acceptable, too.
Reed provides reasonable accommodations to employees who have limitations related to pregnancy or childbirth. Some accommodations might include modification of work schedule, assistance with manual labor, or relief of certain duties. Contact the human resources office if you have questions about taking lactation breaks or if you want assistance requesting an accomodation related to pregnancy or childbirth.
