Sports center

The emphasis of sports programs at Reed lies in encouraging students to become participants rather than spectators. The Watzek Sports Center houses two gyms, an indoor pool, squash and racquetball courts, saunas, a state-of-the-art fitness room, a new martial arts room, and a dance studio. Other sports amenities include tennis courts, a jogging path, and fields for soccer, rugby, ultimate Frisbee, and softball. The college owns a ski cabin on Mt. Hood. Students use college vans for trips and outings whenever possible.
