Visiting Assistant Professor of History and Environmental Studies
The Department of History at Reed College invites applications for a one-year appointment as visiting assistant professor in U.S. History and Environmental Studies for the 2025-26 academic year. The position carries a 3-2 teaching load over two semesters, including at least two environmental history courses and one co-taught, project-based interdisciplinary Environmental Studies seminar, ES300. Teaching responsibilities also include advising yearlong senior theses in History and ES-History, and participating more broadly in Reed’s Environmental Studies Program.
