Visiting Appointment in Theatre (Performance Studies)

The Reed College Theatre Department invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor appointment in Theatre with an emphasis in Performance Studies and Directing. This appointment is for the 2025-26 Academic year. Teaching responsibilities will include five courses, including Directing, Theatre Laboratory (which includes directing a mainstage production), a Performance Studies class, and a class in the candidate's area of expertise. The successful candidate will also be expected to advise senior theses and contribute to department service. We are especially interested in scholar/practitioners who are able to teach broadly within the discipline, who are committed to teaching undergraduates in a liberal arts environment, and who maintain an active scholarly and/or professional practice. A Ph.D. or D.F.A. is required, as is evidence of successful college-level teaching and professional experience.
