Time: 22:01
Description: Medical Assist - Other
Location: Residence Hall

Case #: 240479
Date: 2024 12 11
Time: 18:03
Description: Information Only
Location: Anna Mann
Notes: A CSO responded to a report of suspicious circumstances at Anna Mann. The CSO met with a student who reported that, despite having locked their door upon leaving earlier that day, the student returned to find the door to their room open and unlocked. The student reported that there were signs that building maintenance had entered their room while the student was away. The student confirmed that nothing appeared to be missing, but was concerned that their room had been entered without their foreknowledge and then left unsecured.
Case #: 240480
Date: 2024 12 12
Time: 22:27
Description: Medical Assist - Other
Location: Central Campus
Notes: A CSO responded to a request for medical assistance in Central campus. The CSO met with a student who reported that they were experiencing an allergic reaction. The student stated that they had already self-administered antihistamine medications and that they were still experiencing worsening symptoms. The CSO was made aware that Emergency Medical Services had also been requested. The CSO remained with the student while another CSO assisted in guiding American Medical Response(AMR) to the student. The CSO staged to provide guidance for AMR noted that other students interfered with their ability to guide AMR to the student. AMR transported the student to a nearby medical facility for further medical care. As the CSOs were gathering the last of the necessary information to complete their report, one of the students who had previously interfered with the CSO’s ability to assist AMR asked in a raised voice, “Well, did you get your (expletive redacted) information?” to which the CSO replied in the affirmative, then the CSOs cleared from the call.
Case #: 240481
Date: 2024 12 14
Time: 19:05
Description: Medical Assist - Other
Location: Academic Building
Notes: A CSO responded to a request for medical assistance at an academic building. The CSO met with a student who had received an injury during their class. The CSO relayed to the student that the injury they had received was outside of the CSO’s first aid training and that the student would need to be seen by a medical professional for treatment. The CSO offered to call American Medical Response or to arrange for a taxi to transport the student to a nearby medical facility. The student opted to have a friend drive them to a medical facility. Once the CSO was confident that they had provided the first aid within their training, the injury was stable, and that the student had support from others nearby while waiting for their ride, the CSO cleared from the call.
CS Survey Responses
Every week Community Safety requests survey responses from those who've had interactions with a member of the Community Safety team. These responses are always collected anonymously with the option for the responder to leave contact information if they would like for a member of Community Safety management to contact them, and are used internally for departmental performance tracking. Community Safety has opted to publish these survey results for transparency and community accountability. *Names and pronouns mentioned in survey responses will be redacted to protect the privacy of individuals.
In addition to surveys sent directly to those who have interacted with Community Safety, the Reed community is always encouraged to independently complete the survey regarding Community Safety's performance.

The swipe card system at the Greywood door failed. I'm very grateful that on 2 occasions a CSO was able to come quickly to unlock the door.
