Description: Suspicious Person/Activity/Circumstances
Location: Birchwood

Notes: A CSO on patrol of the Birchwood apartments observed an individual walking away from one of the units that had been recently occupied without authorization. Upon nearing the unit, the CSO observed evidence of a person living in the apartment including socks, shoes, and drug paraphernalia. After securing the unit, a work order was placed with building services for additional clean up.

Notes: Two CSOs responded to a report of an unauthorized entry into one of the units at the RCAs. Upon announcing their presence in the unit, the CSOs encountered two individuals who stated they weren’t aware they were not allowed in the apartment and promptly vacated the premises without incident. The CSOs secured the residence and cleared the scene.

These responses are always collected anonymously with the option for the responder to leave contact information if they would like for a member of Community Safety management to contact them, and are used internally for departmental performance tracking. Community Safety has opted to publish these survey results for transparency and community accountability. *Names and pronouns mentioned in survey responses will be redacted to protect the privacy of individuals.

In addition to surveys sent directly to those who have interacted with Community Safety, the Reed community is always encouraged to independently complete the survey regarding Community Safety's performance.
