ROCO is a collection of essays that I have written
over the years to fill in some gaps (and even correct an occasional
mistake) in whatever textbook we are currently using. Textbooks
do not emphasize molecular modeling, structure, and energy,
as much as I would like, so most of the essays deal with these
issues.
Happy reading,

ROCO is a collection
of essays. It is not methodical. It is not comprehensive.
Don't try to read it "cover to cover." Just read
whatever is useful and interesting. I have tried to make the titles as
informative as possible, and I have included reading suggestions
in the unit materials.
If you can, read ROCO on-line. I have tried to make
this easier by keeping essays, pages, and paragraphs,
as short as possible. I have even formatted ROCO pages so
that they are narrow (more like a newspaper column) and can
be tracked more easily by your eye. I have not provided a
"print" version of ROCO.
The rest of the world
ROCO is free, open, without passwords or logins. Please read as much as you can stand. If you see something you like (or something that needs to be fixed or added), let me know (email me). And, if you really like it, recommend it to someone else.
Copyright
ROCO is offered as "open source" material.
In my mind, this means teachers, students, authors, lecturers,
whoever, can use ROCO without limits, and can count on my
encouragement, as long as these activities do not restrict
usage by any other ROCO user, especially me :-). If
you have questions about this policy email
me.
A word of warning: ROCO constantly changes.
Each year I rewrite, cut, add, and insert, to suit my tastes and needs. If you see something you like,
copy it now because it may not be part of ROCO in the
future.
