Plan an Event at Reed College
There are many important and sometimes forgotten elements involved in planning events. Follow these four important steps and you will be off to a great start to hosting a successful event at Reed College.
Step 1: PLAN AHEAD. Plan ahead and make sure you have enough time to implement your event. Every event, no matter how simple or intricate requires advance planning and organization.
Step 2: READ EVENT PROTOCOLS.

Step 3: GET APPROVALS FOR FACILITY USE. Before you commit to holding an event at Reed, complete the proper form for necessary approvals.
- Space/Event Request Form: For All Faculty, Student, and Staff Requests
- Campus Rental Request: For External Events Including Co-sponsored, and Rental Requests. Please note that due to heavy facility usage by the college, we are primarily considering external facility rental requests that take place during academic breaks (e.g. fall break in October, winter break from mid-December through mid-January, spring break in March, or summer break). Our summer rental period begins after Reunions (mid-June) and ends on July 31.
