Reed College is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities and the American Chemical Society and is a member of the Association of Liberal Studies Programs.

Notice of Nondiscrimination
Reed College prohibits unlawful discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, marital or familial status, military status, veteran status, genetic information, physical or mental disability, pregnancy, or any other category protected by federal, state, or local laws that apply to the college, in any area, activity or operation of the college, including in its employment policies, educational policies, admission policies, scholarship and loan programs, housing policies, athletic programs, and other school-administered programs.

Reed also complies with applicable provisions of local, state, and federal civil rights laws including Title VI and Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, Title IX of the 1972 Education Amendments Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA), the Clery Act of 1990, Oregon Revised Statutes, and any other applicable laws and related amendments. The college prohibits retaliation against any individual who engages in protected activity under anti-discrimination laws.
