Move in to on-campus housing will occur during time slots on designated days, which students must sign up for in advance. Students will receive a detailed email with instructions about move-in several days prior to their arrival, including information on who to contact if there are unexpected delays.
If you are in need of accommodations due to disability or medical condition, please contact movein@reed.edu.
Check out the New Student Website for more information.

How to Prepare for Move-In
Submit your vaccination records: Students are required to upload a copy of their MMR (measles/mumps/rubella) and COVID-19 immunizations via the Student Health and Counseling Services Portal. Instructions for uploading immunizations to your Student Health Portal can be found on this page. Early submissions are strongly encouraged to help streamline the arrival process.
Students who have not met the college’s COVID-19 vaccination requirements by their arrival date will not be permitted to move into their residence hall.
Submit Your Picture: Submit your photo for your Reed ID card. Early submissions are strongly encouraged to help streamline the check-in process.
Review current COVID-19 safety guidelines: All students and their guests are expected to follow Reed Colleges COVID-19 safety measures while on campus. These measures reflect the latest guidance from state and national public health agencies, and will continue to be updated throughout the summer as more information is received. You can review the college’s current requirements for face coverings, physical distancing, and other prevention steps in the COVID-19 Prevention and Response Plan.
Shipping items ahead of time: Students can mail packages to the Reed mailroom two weeks before their move-in date. More information can be found here.
Timing for arrival: We know you are eager to start your move-in process, but for the safety of our community and the staff working check-in, students and families will not be allowed to check-in prior to their assigned move-in time. If you arrive before your move-in time, you will be asked to wait. Help us avoid congestion on campus by staying off campus until your assigned check-in time.
