Piazza Augusto Imperatore
Collegio degli Illirici
The Collegio degli Illirici, a monastic structure belonging to San Girolamo, to which it was joined, is situated across from the south side of the Mausoleum of Augustus. It was completed in 1941, the last of the 4 Fascist buildings surrounding the Mausoleum of Augustus, completing Mussolini's new Piazzale Augusto Imperatore. The date "A XIX" on the overpass (in photo below) refers to the 19th year of the Fascist Era, 1941.
