We want to hear from you!
Reed sends out surveys via text (503-912-7485) and email (ReedCollege@discover-reed.org) asking admitted students to update us about their plans for the fall. Announcements and updates may also be via text (971-257-1207) and from your personal admission counselor. We want to hear from you and encourage you to fill out these surveys and connect with your counselor!
Upcoming Admitted Student Events
Reed Admit Days
Multiple Dates. At the most special event of the year you will meet college leaders, gain in-depth knowledge about the first-year Reedie experience, explore campus with a current student, and meet some of your peers who will make up the class of ’29.
Admitted Student Receptions
Multiple Dates. We’re holding get-togethers across the country where you can mingle with other future Reedies, ask an admission counselor your questions, and learn more about life at Reed. Gather with your fellow griffins to celebrate your admission to the class of '29.
Faculty Office Hours
Multiple Dates. Get to know your professors during their virtual Office Hours as they discuss the classes they teach, describe their research, and answer your questions. This is a great way to meet faculty members and learn more about different majors and minors at Reed.
Studying Abroad at Reed
Apr 2 at 5 p.m. Curious about studying abroad at Reed? Join us for a dynamic conversation with Reed's Director of International Programs as well as current Reed students who have studied abroad. They will share insights on Reed’s global programs, how to make the most of your experience, and what it’s like to take your Reed education beyond borders.
West Coast Perspectives: Student and Alumni Panel
Apr 3 at 5 p.m. Hear from current Reedies and Reed alumni about their perspective coming to Portland from various locations along the West Coast! Panelists hail from Northern and Southern California, as well as Portland, Oregon.
Tough Questions with Dr. K
Apr 3 at 6 p.m. Parents and students are invited to join Milyon Trulove, VP and Dean of Admission & Financial Aid, and Karnell McConnell-Black, VP for Student Life, for a question and answer session. Learn more about how Reed supports student success, what stands out about our rigorous curriculum, and what Reedies go on to achieve after graduating.
Ask Audrey: Answers from the President
Apr 5 at 11 a.m. Join Reed College President Audrey Bilger and Milyon Trulove, Vice President and Dean of Admission and Financial Aid, for this special event.
Prestigious Fellowships & Graduate School
Apr 8 at 5 p.m. Meet current med school students and Reed alums to learn about navigating the graduate school application process, fellowship opportunities, and the benefits of a liberal arts education when applying for graduate programs.
Academic Panel
Apr 10 at 6 p.m. Find out why Reed’s academic program is regarded as one of the most intellectual in the country. Current Dean of the Faculty Kathy Oleson and former Dean of the Faculty Nigel Nicholson will answer your questions and discuss what makes our educational experience transformational.
East Coast Perspectives: A Student Panel
Apr 15 at 3 p.m. Hear from current Reed students about their perspective coming to Portland from various locations along the East Coast!
Students of Color Panel
Apr 15 at 4 p.m. What is it like to be a student of color at Reed? Current students of color will tell you about learning, living, and thriving at Reed. Topics will include academics, residence halls, student life, clubs and organizations, and Portland. Join this session to hear students answer your questions live. All students are welcome!
