At Reed, all on-campus residence halls are part of neighborhoods. First-year students live in first-year neighborhoods. Sophomores and upper-division students may be assigned to the same building if occupancy and enrollment necessitate it.
The current neighborhood model is subject to change depending on available bed spaces and as we learn more about the College's enrollment over the summer months.

Our goal is to provide students with an opportunity to reside on campus. During the application process, the portal will ask each member if the selected rooomate or room preference (location, single/double) is more important. This means if having a single is a higher priority to you than a selected roommate, we’d attempt to find a single, but ultimately would prioritize a single, and not the roommate.
More info on how to apply will be outlined in the housing application once that becomes available on the portal. We hope that you will consider staying with us on campus!

House Advisors (HAs) are current students who help to build community, mediate conflicts, and assist residents as they navigate campus resources. Area coordinators (ACs) are professional staff members who manage the halls and supervise HAs. Area coordinators also live on site.
