Orientation is an exciting time for you to explore Reed's academic program, resources, and co-curricular opportunities, as well as to meet your peers and get to know campus.
The Orientation team, part of the college's student life division, is here to support your successful transition to Reed. Please contact us with any questions.

Reed 101: Online Orientation (Complete before August 26)
By early June, you will receive an email with the link to the online Orientation modules, which includes important information about academic requirements, registration, student support services, and campus life. Completion of the online Orientation before August 26 is required for all new students.
Pre-Orientation
Pre-Orientation for international students and the peer mentor program begins August 22 through August 26.
In-Person General Orientation
During general Orientation on campus (August 26 - September 1), you will meet faculty, fellow students, and staff through a series of presentations, information sessions, and programs.

Move-In
If you will be living on campus, you may move into your residence on Monday, August 26. On May 1, first-year and transfer students can sign up for housing through the housing portal.
More information about move-in will be available in May.
Important Dates 2024
- Early June: Start Reed 101: Online Orientation modules, which will be sent to you via email.
- Module 1: Welcome; Academics; Campus Policies, Processes, and Safety
- Module 2: Student Life Services
- Module 3: Campus and Community Resources; Orientation Week
- June 1: First deadline for incoming student forms
- July 15: All incoming student forms due
- August 22-26: Pre-Orientation
- August 26: Move-in
- August 26 - September 1: General Orientation
- August 29: Meet with your adviser and register for classes
- September 3: Classes begin!
