Welcome to the Reed College online loan counseling page.

Students who borrow a Direct Stafford Loan or Direct Grad PLUS Loan are required to complete loan counseling before receiving loan proceeds from their first loan and again when graduating, otherwise leaving Reed, or dropping below half-time status.  Half-time status at Reed is defined as 1.5 units during fall and spring semesters, and 1.0 unit during the summer.  Students who wish to withdraw or take a leave of absence should contact student services at 503/777-7521.

If you are borrowing your first Direct Stafford Loan or Grad PLUS Loan at Reed, please visit our entrance counseling page.

If you are about to graduate or drop below half-time status, please visit our exit counseling page.

The National Student Loan Data System displays information on your federal loans amounts, outstanding balances, loan statuses and disbursements. You can access your loan information on this site with the same PIN that you used to sign your FAFSA.

For questions regarding borrower’s rights and responsibilities for the terms and conditions of your loans, or the effect of accepting the loan on your eligibility for other federal, state, or institutional aid, please contact Sarah Duncan in the financial aid office at 503/777-7223.
