Events at Reed

Tango for Musicians at Reed College presents two longstanding tango duos. The Hernán Possetti-Eva Wolff duo (piano/bandoneón) creates a forcefully expressive dialogue within a musical language that is pure tango. The Paulina Fain-Exequiel Mantega duo (flute/piano) explores the limits of tango with daring subtlety. Guest artist Elena Yarritu will also join Paulina Fain to perform a selection of Astor Piazzolla’s famous tango etudes, newly arranged for two flutes. Tango for Musicians at Reed College is North America’s leading tango workshop for musicians, providing the tools needed to play, arrange, compose, improvise, and teach this rich and diverse musical form.
