mLab

welcome to the mLabWhat the mLab does

The multimedia lab (mLab) at Reed is designed to support the use of technology in teaching and research by providing resources that go beyond what is typically available in faculty offices.  The mLab is place to explore new technologies and offers a lending library of equipment that you can use in the lab or borrow. The lab also provides an excellent setting for small-group collaboration and for group videoconferencing. The mLab staff support work in the mLab, and are available to offer advice and assistance on faculty projects.

Access to the lab

All faculty have 24/7 access to the mLab.  Our staff are available to assist you much of the time; see our schedule, which also shows when the lab is booked for special purposes such as videoconferencing. Students who need access to mLab resources while working on projects for faculty, CIS, or the Library may be able to use th mLab; contact us for access information. Students needing mLab resources for special curricular projects should contact us to request access; we will do our best to help you get the resources you need.
